Directions to the
Hilton Head Vacations Direct Welcome Center
• From Interstate 95 Take Exit 8- Highway 278 East towards Hilton Head Island for 20 miles.
• Approximately 2 miles after you cross the bridge to the island, veer left onto the Cross Island Parkway Toll Road (Toll is $1.25 for 2 axle vehicles).
• After crossing the toll plaza and the Broad Creek bridge, at the first roundabout take your first right (Greenwood Drive)
• Travel approx. ¼ mile. Our office will be on the right in the Gallery of Shops Bldg. Suite 103.
• If you arrive after-hours, your welcome packet will be in the blue lockbox in front of the office which is across the Sun Trust Bank parking lot .
When is check-in time?
Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Please do not attempt to check in prior to 4PM. In order to ensure that you enjoy a freshly clean and inspected home or villa, our housekeepers need until 4PM to complete their duties.
You may request an early check-in at least 7 days in advance for an
Additional charge. However, this is only if the home or villa is available.
What are check-in procedures?
You may pick-up your welcome package at our office after 3 PM on the day of your arrival. If you arrive after office hours, your welcome package will be located in a lock-box in front of our office. Your welcome package will include: directions to your home or villa; keys; and car passes (if required)
When is check-out time?
For the same reasons stated above, check-out time is 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, if you have not vacated your Home or Villa by this time we reserve the right to charge an additional fee. This ensures that the next guest also enjoys freshly cleaned accommodations. A late check-out can be requested in advance for an additional charge if the unit will not be occupied that day. Please plan accordingly!
What are check-out procedures?
All keys must be returned to the Hilton Head Vacations Direct office or placed in the lock box located in the front of the building. There will be a $50 charge if keys are not returned to the office.
What is your pet policy?
Pets are only permitted in our Pet-Friendly Homes & Villas. Pets are NOT permitted in any other homes & villas.. Pet-Friendly units require a $150.00 non-refundable pet fee, maximum is 2 dogs.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is not permitted in any of our Homes & Villas.
Are washers and dryers available in the Homes & Villas?
Most units are equipped with a washer and dryer. Accommodations that do not have a washer and dryer in the home or villa, do have them available on-site within the complex for your use. Some of the washer/dryers in villas/condos may be coin operated.
What if we have a SERVICE EMERGENCY while we’re on vacation?
Despite our best efforts, occasionally something in your unit may break! Don’t worry! If this happens, please
call the office (843-686-3322) If it’s a recording, please leave a message. We will return your call.
.What should we bring with us?
Your home or villa is fully equipped for vacation use, and includes appliances, dishes, cookware, an iron and ironing board, and all linens. You will only need to bring your own beach towels, as our bath towels are not to be taken to the beach. Also, the unit is supplied with a starter set of laundry detergent, dish detergent, bath soap, trash bags, and toilet and tissue paper. Should your stay require a greater amount of any of these items, please plan on bringing them with you or purchasing them on the island. Please advise us if you will be utilizing the sleeper sofa in your unit so we may remind the cleaners to leave the linens near the sleeper sofa or in a closet.
There are no Beach chairs, umbrellas and toys, unless a previous guest has left them behind.
What happens if a hurricane hits while we are on vacation?
We will not issue refunds for situations arising from weather, including hurricanes or evacuations. We STRONGLY recommend that you purchase a Travel Insurance policy that covers weather, illness, travel delay and more.
What if we need to cancel our trip?
For cancellations received in writing 60 days prior to your arrival date, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 5% of the base rental rate. No cancellations will be accepted, and no refunds given, less than 60 days from your arrival date.
What about Travel Insurance?
We are pleased to now offer travel insurance. This can protect you against losses you may incur because of unforeseen circumstances, illness, injuries, or even mandatory hurricane evacuation. The cost of the insurance is calculated on a percentage of the total rental rate based on length of stay and time of year. Please contact our office for information.
